  8. Please accept my deepest sympathy and thoughts of comfort for your loss of Risa. I never met her personally, but felt I knew her due to all of the times she gave me words of wisdom and virtual hugs through both her amazing online outreach. What Risa did to support and educate her fellow transplant recipients is an incredible feat of what true human love can accomplish. She will be greatly missed. I will think of her often, as I know you as her family will also. I know this time is painful for you, so I send you a virtual hug not in my own words but in the words of Job 14:14,15 which gives us the hope that we will see Risa again, and she will be whole, beautiful , and full of that wonderful giving energy that she is known for.

Once I found Transplant Buddies, I finally realized I wasn’t alone in my experiences. The site helped me to finally, really live again. I will forever be grateful for, and admire Risa. She lives on in my heart and in the hearts of those thousands whose lives she touched.
