  3. famille ROY, Toulouse says:

I was so saddened to hear about Paula’s passing. We worked together at Stony Brook daycare center(Benedict Daycare). She was wonderful with the children! She had a great sense of humor and we definitely laughed a lot! My thoughts go out to her family and friends

  6. Steven Gilroy says:

I met Paula at the famed Benedict Day Care Center when she was 21. We bonded immediately. She became my mentor and role-model. We were in college and yearning to make the world a better place- starting with the children.

Paula was a good friend. She was kind, empathetic and considerate. She was a caregiver. I loved how she cared so completely for her mom, Ruth, and how good she was at taking care of young people. All of the students with whom she interacted in her 40+ year career as a pedagogue were greatly enriched.

Back in 1975 when we met, not only was Paula was the smartest person I had ever met, she was also the funniest. She would make me laugh like a hyena until my sides would ache and I would starting squealing like a seal in Monterey Bay.

    I will miss her terribly.

  7. Lucia Coletta says:

I will also hold a very special place for her in my heart.
