Ed played a very important role within the EZ Riders group. He kept us up to date on rides and posted great pictures of those rides. We are forever grateful for his contributions. I miss him and sharing oysters at our frequent dinners. Rest in peace my friend!

  5. Ray Rivera says:

Ed will truly be missed!! He was often a riding buddy with me, with bike rides over the years at EZ riders. As a matter of fact, I remember the first bike ride I took with the EZ riders. Ed greeted me and made me feel welcome. That was over 10 years ago! Such a wonderful person and friend. Carolyn, I offer my deepest condolences to you and all your family. I pray that God will offer comfort and peace.
With deepest love and admiration for Ed,
    Ray Rivera

    Dear Caroline,
Ed was my manager and I only have good memories of working for him. He was a great human being.
May your memories of him in better times help you at this time of sorrow.

I am, David, Edward’s older brother and I want to
Thank you all for coming to help us celebrate Edward’s life, share our grief at his passing, and my last chance to honor Edward, whom I consider the better brother.

Early in our years together we lost our parents, the progenitors of our family. Time, schooling, and distance, were challenges over the years, but we always had each other. We reconnected at Ed’s college graduation. I had been delayed getting to Rochester from Cleveland. As he walked off the bus from the ceremony, he looked very deflated. He glanced up, and saw me across the street. A sparkle return to his eyes and a smile to his face.

AS my wife Karyl and I began our family, and we began seeing Edward and Carolyn more frequently. We began to share our children on their longer visits to NY. One time, Matthew and Kathryn, Edward and Carolyn were walking in the old twin towers, and Matthew spotted $100 bill on the floor . Pointing it out to out Edward who quickly palmed it and a spending spree ensued. On another trip, Catherine brought home a wonderful collection of dead horseshoe crabs shells another sea creatures that Carolyn and help her package and shipped back My Overjoyed wife.

Edward and I had our own unique adventures, such as backpacking. in the white mountains during the peak of black fly season and Edwards allergies. Only by the grace of his better cellphone were we able to call for help and an incredulous taxi-man, to get us out of there and back to our car parked 15 Mi away.

How does one close in story on Edward? He was kind and generous. He always saw the good in bad situations, and helped others see the better light in the dark. Thank you all for coming to say goodbye to my better brother, and Carolyn’s wonderful husband Edward.
