Compassionate Care to Floral Park’s Jewish Community In their Time of Need. When the death of a loved one occurs, please contact Sinai Chapels at 718.445.0300. We are here to assist you 24/7.

Assisting All Jewish Families

Founded, owned and operated by the Resnick family, Sinai Chapels provide each family with attentive, quality and compassionate service. We are staffed and operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

We will coordinate all the funeral details with any congregation, burial society, landsmanschaft, or organization where you are a member. We will also work to secure all necessary permits, signatures, and benefits to which you are entitled.

Sinai Chapels is uniquely equipped to professionally assist all Jewish families, from the most meticulously halachically observant to the completely secular. We specialize in assisting families in creating a service that includes the observances and rituals most appropriate for them and their loved ones, whether in our chapels, at the graveside or in other locations.

Maimonides Cemetery – In 1853, like-minded Jewish immigrants in New York, concerned about the welfare and future of their communities, established The Maimonides Benevolent Society. This brotherhood looked after its membership in times of illness and difficulty, looked towards the community’s future needs, and provided an opportunity to socialize. The society recognized the need for a Jewish Cemetery and purchased burial grounds for members and future generations. This became Maimonides Cemetery, in Brooklyn, New York. To meet continuing growth, eventually, more land was purchased in Elmont.
