Sinai Chapels is uniquely equipped to professionally assist all Jewish families, from the most meticulously halachically observant to the completely secular. We specialize in assisting families in creating a service that includes the observances and rituals most appropriate for them and their loved ones, whether in our chapels, at the graveside or in other locations.
No matter the level of religious observance of your family, our family has devoted four generations to offering services that are ceremonially correct, appropriate to the family and dignified in every detail.
We believe that a funeral service should help communicate the story of the life that has been lived, as well as to help the family begin to find some modicum of consolation. Your personal choices are very important to us. Our desire is to help you coordinate the most meaningful service possible for your loved one.
Our directors provide families with an array of additional services, including government-insured preplan agreements, visiting with families either at our chapels or in the comfort of their own home. We are also leaders in technology, offering live streaming of services to families in other cities and countries, monitors for slideshows of loved ones and provide DVD recordings of services. In addition to the many services offered by Sinai Chapels, we also have a monument company, Sinai Memorials, with their showroom located in our facility.
Sinai Chapels is deeply committed to the Jewish Community. We continue to proudly sponsor various events including the Queens College Annual Commemoration of Kristallnacht and organizations including the Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center at Queensborough Community College. We are proud members of the Queens Jewish Community Council and supporters of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA) Federation of New York.
Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels in Forest Hills, Queens and sister chapel, Riverside-Nassau North Chapels in Great Neck have entered into an agreement to serve Sinai Chapels’ families following the decision to sell the real estate and close the Sinai Chapels building on Horace Harding Expressway in Fresh Meadows, Queens.
