On Sunday, November 15th, Sinai Chapels will sponsor Queen's College's Annual Commemoration of Kristallnacht and Recommitment to Combating Anti-Semitism and Hatred. The Honorable Elizabeth Holtzman will address the public as the keynote speaker for this event, which will be held at LeFrak Concert Hall from 2-4pm.
The Annual Commemoration of Kristallnacht and Recommittment to Combating Antisemitism and Hatred took place on Sunday, November 16th at LeFrak Concert Hall at Queens College. Sponsored by Sinai Chapels, the program featured speaker Dr. Bernd Wollschrager as well as Holocaust survivors and audiovisual and musical interludes.
The Jewish Week highlighted an event at Queens College commemorating Kristillnacht and the Holocaust. Sponsored by Sinai Chapels, the program featured keynote speaker, Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, an award-winning physician in Florida and the son of a highly decorated WWII tank commander and Nazi officer. The program also included a candle-lighting ceremony with Holocaust survivors escorted by student fellows from the Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding.

Sinai Chapels, in an ongoing commitment to the Jewish Community, was involved in the sponsorship of a cantorial concert featuring Yoel Sharabi at Hillcrest Jewish Center. This has been an event Sinai Chapels has participated in for numerous years.
A reception was held May 24 in the elegant glass and steel Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center to recognize Michael Resnick, President of Sinai Chapels, for his selfless dedication in supporting Holocaust Education.
Sinai Chapels, a family-owned funeral home serving the Jewish community for over three generations has made a generous donation to The Kupferberg Yiddish Cinema at the new Harriet & Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center & Archives at Queensborough Community College.
Beginning in 2007, Sinai Chapels has offered live, online streaming of funerals for family members or friends who are unable to physically attend a funeral service, allowing them to virtually participate in real time or at a later date.
